La Liga president Javier Tebas reacted after PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi made unforgivable comments about the way clubs run an Assembly in Istanbul. Al-Khelaifi, head of the European Club Association and PSG, made some comments on Barcelona’s finances and budget in a speech in an Assembly following UEFA’s renewal of Financial Fair Play.
At the conference, Al-Khelaifi spoke about ‘magically injecting capital’ and warned of clubs’ policies in how they manage their finances, and made special mention of Barcelona’s various economic leverages to raise funds for their summer transfer window. Javier Tebas said the comments on Twitter were vague, adding that there is no magic in response to ‘Al-Khelaifi’s speech.

Javier Tebas’ answer to Nasser Al-Khelaifi?
Javier Tebas said: “Barcelona sold some of its assets to cover its losses. In PSG you turn on the throttle instead. The first thing for sustainable football is to pay off debt, right?” Both Tebas and Al-Khelaifi regularly hit each other and argued over financial matters, and also exchanged verbal comments in the past.
Al-Khelaifi criticized La Liga and described it as a ‘dead’ league, and Tebas was angered by this comment. Tebas had a busy summer with Barcelona regularly pushing their financial limits, selling various television and media rights to raise funds for transfers and fees, helping the club register players for the current season.
