Mumbai City FC announced the signing of goalkeeper Bhaskar Roy.

Mumbai City FC is pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Bhaskar Roy. The 28-year-old will join the Islanders on a two-year contract until May 2024.

Bhaskar from Basunia Para in West Bengal won the Golden Glove for Rajasthan United FC in the 2021-22 I-League. He kept eight clean sheets and made the most saves for Rajasthan United (44 in 17 games) in his first I-league campaign.

The goalkeeper honed his skills at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Kolkata and went on to represent the Indian Navy, KFA Southern Samity and Services Football Team and won consecutive Santosh Cup titles with the Services in 2015 and 2016.

The following season, Bhaskar moved to I-League team Minerva Punjab, where he spent three seasons, appearing in the AFC Champions League Qualifying stage and in the AFC Cup in 2019. He was also a part of Punjab’s first I-League championship team.

Bhaskar Roy says:
