Lionel Messi and Neymar are among the names PSG fans mocked in their game against Bordeaux after PSG’s embarrassing and shocking exit from the UEFA Champions League in the Round of 16.
Lionel Messi has been nowhere near the influence Parisian fans had hoped to have when he moved away from his childhood club, FC Barcelona, to join the French giants. The Argentine has only scored seven goals in 25 games played for PSG.
Although Neymar scored in a 3-0 victory over Bordeaux, he was subjected to the same whistles and boos every time he had possession of the ball.
PSG has been after the European Cup for a long time and signed five big signings in the process last summer. Predictably, fans expected results. Instead, it turned out to be the worst season in Europe for PSG, reaching the semi-finals and final stages over the past two seasons. PSG were eliminated by Spanish giant Real Madrid, who scored three goals in the last 30 minutes.
The Parisians are 15 points ahead in second-place Nice and are on track to equal Saint-Etienne’s record of 10 French titles, but it’s not the domestic championship that the fans’ club is longing for.

Former FC Barcelona teammates and best friends Luis Suarez and Cesc Fabregas have posted their support for Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Luis Suarez shared a photo of himself with Messi and Neymar on his Instagram stories: “As always, football has no memories.
“Always with you. I love you so much.”

Another former Barca teammate of the stars, Cesc Fabregas, took to Twitter to write a similar message.
