Eintracht Frankfurt vs FC Barcelona : Frankfurt faced Barcelona in the first leg of the Europa League Quarter Finals at Deutsche Bank Park.
The home team started the game high as they kept hitting Barca’s goal by constantly asking questions since the kick-off. Barca somehow managed to control the pressure and both teams brought the half to 0-0. Frankfurt took the lead of the match right after the half-time, thanks to Knauff’s terrific effort. Barca equalized with Ferran Torres after a while. The first match played in Germany ended 1-1. All will play in the reverse fixture at Camp Nou!

Kevin Trapp (6.7/10): Eintracht Frankfurt The goalkeeper had to make one save from Aubemeyang’s shot in the first half. Otherwise he didn’t have to do much. He passed the ball to his teammates from behind.
Martin Heinteregger (7.4/10): A solid display on the back. He eliminated many threats that could be dangerous for his side. Very comfortable when the ball is under pressure on your feet. Won many ground duels. Drive into the midfield area whenever possible. He also made some good moves.
Evan Ndicka (6.4/10): He kept his ground well and protected the ball in many stages. He passed very easily several times in the first half. He was dribbled several times by Barça’s right winger. Strong in ground duels. Average show from center.
Amount (6.3/10)): He was commissioned tonight as a right-back in a three-man back. He struggled with some threats in the flank area. It wobbled a few times but recovered well. Tried some long balls. He had a shot to show in the first half. Scanned twice and posted at 78pearl minute.
Ansgar Knauff (7.8/10): Right-back was impressive in the first 45 minutes. Strong in ground duels. He kept Jordi Alba very busy defensively. He created some luck with his flanking runs. He got some opportunities on his side. He scored an absolutely fantastic goal to give his team the lead right after the first half.
Kristian Jakic (6.2/10): Much less contact with the ball in the first half for the midfielder. The transition was not good either. He almost did nothing with the intention of attacking. He did a good job on defense as he helped his back line with some balls and blocks. He lacked the aggressive intention of being at the center of it all.
Jibril Sow (6.2/10): Missed the game’s first big chance at 6pearl The minute mark where he really should score. He gave some key passes to his name. Dominant air fight in midfield area against Pedri and Gavi. Correct long balls. He missed the last ball at times.
Filip Kostic (6.8/10): The left channel was kept very active throughout the game. Sometimes the transitions could have been better. He is very confident on the ball. He made some shots on target for himself. Good pace on the screen. Fouls were sometimes required to stop their run. He was shown the yellow card at the end of the first half.
Jesper Lindstrom (6.9/10): He had two attempts, but both were off-target. He created 4-5 positions for his teammates. He was very good creatively. He made some fouls during the replay. Good trip for him.
Dalchi Kamada (6.5/10): It didn’t do enough to affect the game. He had a key pass to his name. He distributed the ball well on the wings. There is no shot on target for him in the match. closed at 81Saint minute mark.
Rafael Santos Borre (6.7/10): He showed a tremendous run rate as Barça constantly put pressure on their defenders. There are fewer touches in the first half, but he is very accurate in everything he gets his hands on. Won a lot of ground fights. It was closed in the last minutes of the match.

Marc Andre Ter Stegen (7.0/10): FC Barcelona The goalkeeper was under good pressure for most of the first half. Deal well with threats that come off the line when needed. Made 3-4 good saves. Some good high claims. There is nothing to be done about the goal scored by Knauff.
Jordi Alba (6.9/10): It looked well below average for the majority of the game. He made little contribution to the defense. A number of threats came from the left wing area where he operated. He didn’t have as much overlap as he usually does. He gave his ownership many times.
Eric Garcia (7.1/10): Made some good blocks and interceptions. He carried the ball from his back line to the midfielders. He was probably the side with the most touches in the first half. Strong in ground duels. He got into some rash challenges though.
Ronald Araujo (7.3/10): He coped well with Frankfurt’s flank threat. He showed good defensive duties that came with all the interceptions, interceptions and blocks. Good physical presence on the pitch for Barca as well. The defender had a good look.
Gerrard Pique (6.1/10): He looked shaky in the first minutes, when competitors created great chances. At times he gave the ball indiscriminately. closed at 23rd minute due to injury.
Sergio Busquets (7.1/10): A great halftime show from him. He dominated the midfield with his sense of play and good passing distance. Great pass from Gazi as always. He had some property under his belt. In the first half, he made a huge challenge to not give Frankfurt a clear scoring chance.
Ferran Torres (7.6/10): He scored the first goal for his team. A good finishing in the narrow field from the Spanish forward. He went in a few times from where he was. His dribbling was great. He’s good with his teammates.
Gavi (7.0/10): He defended very well to have possession of the ball at times. a gap greater than ten out of 10pearl minute mark to stop a dangerous move from your opponent. Very good at the ball. He made a shot at the target. He ran into some difficulties in the midfield area. At times he overloaded the left wing area.
Adam Traore (7.2/10): His dribbling was excellent. Tremendous pace with excellent dribbling in the first half. It’s always getting players. The last ball is missing. Strong physical stance as he uses his strength to hold the ball in tight spaces. closed at 62nd minute.
aubameyang (6.1/10): The forward was not good on the ball. There was only 1 shot, which was too much off-target for the majority of the game. He couldn’t get himself into threatening territory. He tried to dribble, but the ball was taken away from him. A very quiet show for a goal scorer.
Pedri (7.1/10): He connects the midfield with the attack. It was not as good by standards. Still, it created a series of good chances for Barça. He was all over the field throughout the game. Helped his defense when the opponent counterattacked.
Changes:
Clement Lengle (7.0/10): Had to come quite early due to forced change. I’ve seen a lot of balls. He started many moves from the back side building. Won all aerial duels. Got some threats.
Frenkie de Jong(7.1/10): It has made a good difference since it arrived. He dominated the midfield. He rose steadily and joined his side on offense. Assisted Ferran Torres’ goal.
Ousmane Dembele(6.8/10): There are some good runs at the touchline. A few good crosses. Nothing that has much of an impact on the game.
