Famous actor Tyson “TenZ” Ngo has revealed his specific preferences for the PC settings he uses to play Valorant. The 20-year-old professional athlete moved there to join his Sentinels colleagues in Texas in preparation for the upcoming VCT 2022. In the previous VCT Championship; TenZ had to play on a new PC, where it changed the PC settings for better FPS and higher productivity.
A low FPS rate may cause the game to stutter, but a higher FPS performance can make Valorant more enjoyable to play. A large number of gamers follow professional gamers’ setups for greater in-game efficiency, and TenZ’s PC parameters can help in this area.

TenZ Valorant Settings and Preferences in 2022
FPS is very important in first-person shooters because the bigger it is, the more fluid and fast it looks and feels while playing. On the other hand, a low FPS will make the game appear to stutter. Valorant is a game where every second counts. If the video game stutters during combat, you’ll be in a handicap right away. Let’s take a look at the techniques the expert uses and the techniques he recommends we do to achieve the same results:
- Right click on the app and open ‘Properties’.
- Then, under ‘Compatibility’, enable the ‘high DPI scaling overload’ (you can also customize your mouse’s DPI using your mouse’s built-in settings).
- Then go to ‘Graphics Settings’ and enable ‘hardware accelerated GPU programming’.
- Then, under ‘Browse’ search for the location of the Valorant installation folder and set it to ‘high performance’ (prefer to store the game on an SSD drive for faster performance).
- Switch to NVIDIA Control Center and disable G-Sync (this will help reduce screen tearing and FPS drops).
- Then, under ‘Manage 3D settings’, change the preferred option from quality to performance.
- Next, hit the Start button and search for ‘Background Apps’ to disable it.
- By selecting ‘Delivery Optimization’ you can disable ‘Allow downloads from other computers’ in Windows Update.
- Check if the Windows 10 operating system has been upgraded and do not update your computer to Windows 11 before a stable patch. valiant currently pulling more than 11 FPS on Windows 10.

Use the Valorant Crosshair Generator to experiment with crosshairs. While crosshair preference varies, you can learn how to create the ideal aiming reticle in Valorant, or test TenZ’s aiming reticle in the Valorant Crosshair Maker app to see if it works for you. TenZ currently uses a cyan crosshair with inner lines: 1/4/2/2 and outer lines: 0/0/0/0. Keeps the tracking reticle off with a fade effect. Let’s take a look at TenZ’s current Valorant key bindings prior to VCT 2022:
- Gait: L-Shift
- Squat: L-Ctrl
- Jump: Mouse Wheel Down
- Use Object: E
- Equip Primary Weapon: 1
- Equip Secondary Weapon: 2
- Equip Melee Weapons: 3
- Equip Spike: 4
- Use/Equip Skill 1: Mouse 4
- Use/Equip Skill 2: Mouse 5
- Use/Hardware Skill 3: C
- Cast/Navy Ability (Ultimate): F
TenZ has quick reflexes, and one of his best abilities in Valorant is his kick, which helps him get more kills. But only a flawless game flow makes this possible. As TenZ mentioned in one of their recent posts, they can increase their FPS by updating their PC. He emphasized that since esports is more CPU intensive, a powerful CPU is required for a better Valorant experience.
It also claimed to have upgraded its CPU from Intel Core i7-8700K to Ryzen 9 5900X and upgraded its GPU from GeForce GTX 1080 Ti to GeForce RTX 309. Its FPS increased from 200 to 400 and doubled as a result.
