After days of anticipation and excitement by fans, the first day of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Grand Finals kicked off today. The three-day event features sixteen of the best PUBG Mobile teams from around the world playing for a $6 million prize pool.
At the end of the 1st day, Next Rüya Gaming from Turkey is the leader with 76 points. The team managed to pull off 35 eliminations with a single chicken dish after six games. Nova Esports, a fan favorite from China, is approaching with a total of 67 points even though the team hasn’t won any matches. The UAE-based team, Nigma Galaxy, finished the day with 64 points.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Grand Finals Day 1 Recap
The first match of the day started with the Erangel map. The action between the teams started when the circle fell on the Sosnovka Military Base. Stalwart Esports dominated the first game with a staggering 14 finishes. The team retained their entire roster and eliminated equally strong teams like Nova and S2G. STE’s Skryy took the highest finishes.
The second match of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Grand Finals was played on the desert map Miramar. Thailand’s star team The Infinity managed to take fourth place, but they could not finish. While Nigma Galaxy looked pretty confident to win the match, Alpha7 Esports took the chicken dinner with 10 finishes.
Sanhok became the third map of the day where the chicken dinner was taken after 8 finishes and 32 points were collected by Nigma Galaxy. Next up is Dream Gaming, table players also played well to take second place with 11 finishes. Third place was The Infinity.
Next Dream Gaming and western stars Natus Vincere won the fourth and fifth games of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Grand Finals respectively. Both teams put on a dominant performance to achieve a sufficient number of finishes. Six Two Eight from China also made a comeback in the last second match.
Sixth and final match PMGC The 2021 Grand Finals were played on Erangel. It was a head-to-head competition between Nova Esports and Furious Gaming. The second team turned the tables by winning the chicken dinner as the trailing 1v1 between PapiPotro and King was won by the former player.
