Fortnite has already launched the Fortnite v19.40 Update Patch notes after the release of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1. This update brings new Winterfest updates and some weapon changes, as well as features of a new episode.

Fortnite v19.40 Update
Fortnite is a very popular battle royale game published by Epic Games. It probably has one of the largest fan bases and player bases in the entire world. Recently, they had released the new Fortnite. update The game takes a turn, revolving around new features for the season.
The v19.40 update brings a brand new device to the Guard Spawner! Along with the Guard Spawner, we’ve updated a few additional devices and are adding island trailers to Fortnite Discover in the v19.40 update.
Here are some of the highlights of the system in the Fortnite v19.40 Update Patch notes:
- Choose from 8 different Guardian skins.
- Drop a compatible weapon or consumable in the Guardian Spawner and have that spawner’s Guardians equip it.
- Add multiple items to have the Guardians randomly pick from the available pool.
- Use the Guardian filter on the weapon and consumable inventory screens to find out which items are compatible with the Warden Spawner.
- Check the patrol radius around the spawner.
- Assign Guards to teams.
- Adjust many of its features, including awareness, accuracy and health.
- The maximum number of Guardians that can be active is 30 – this is a separate limit from the limits for Demons and Pets.
- Several other devices, including the Elimination Manager and Mutator Zone, have been updated to allow them to interact with the Guardians properly.
As a bonus, here are some tips from the design team in the Fortnite v19.40 Update Patch notes:
- Friendly Fire settings affect players as well as Guardians, so beware of them!
- The Sneaky Snowman, Creeping Cardboard, and other hideouts will allow players to avoid being noticed… as long as they don’t move while the Guardians are watching!
- Avoid placing the spawner on very uneven ground or where pathfinding may be a problem.
- Avoid creating too many Guards in a small radius as this can negatively impact performance and cause pathfinding issues on some platforms.
- With the Patrol settings turned off, the Guards will act like sentries – but will only move when they see someone or enter battle.
Known Issues: Guards are currently not properly tracked by the Tracker device.
DEVICE FIXES
- Fixed an issue that caused damaged items to be irreparable.
- Fixed an issue where Fire Volume would not ignite when above ground level.
- Fixed an issue where the Button Device was not stopping the Fishing Zone correctly.
- Fixed an issue that caused the ATK tool builder to get stuck in place.
- Fixed an issue with devices using beams of light to properly collide with environments after scaling.
- Fixed an issue where the item giver was not giving items to players when using the random setting.
- Fixed an issue where campfires could not be placed
GAME FIXES
- Fixed an issue when switching teams that caused players to see the change above the player count.
- Fixed an issue that caused campfires to appear dim for ongoing players
- Fixed an issue that caused players to be sent back to the frontend after the in-game matchmaking countdown timer expired.
- Fixed an issue where team selection settings in creative mode were not migrated when the game started
- Fixed an issue where fires would not harm players in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue where players could not repair burning structures
- Fixed an issue where wildlife was not crawling correctly when indestructible walls were hidden
- Fixed several issues with supply drops
