Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 DMZ just got tougher with new update

DMZ mode Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 has become one of COD’s favorite game modes. Since both games were released recently, there were many bugs that needed to be fixed and Activision did just that in the last update. Besides fixing all the bugs, they also strengthened the artificial intelligence in the DMZ game mode.

AI Bots are now ridiculously overpowered and relentlessly hunt down players in the DMZ, with players then losing all the items they collect in extraction mode. It’s very frustrating to be killed in three shots by a bot in the DMZ when the DMZ is a battle royal escape and good loot for warzone players and has won a few contracts.

In a recent tweet, CharlieIntel mentions that Infinity Ward is making the DMZ more challenging as it is no longer possible to drive cars into the radiation zone. They also nerfed the gas masks in the game. A few things have changed in the game and here is a breakdown of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 1.11 update.

Activision fixed several bugs for DMZ mode including:

  • Players will be kicked out of the backpack if they loot and disconnect a eliminated player’s backpack.
  • They fixed the “Failed to connect to data center error” that occurred during extraction.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some locks in Gunsmith to not track Weapon progress.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the correct number of Battle Pass Tokens from appearing in the Battle Pass Menu.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented some players from launching the game due to GPU compatibility.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from equipping Lethal and Tactical equipment.
  • Fixed an issue that caused lobby-wide microphone input during matchmaking.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to keep their Armor Plate Carrier upgrades between matches despite being eliminated.
  • Fixed an issue that caused players to lose their Backpack upgrades when removing them after being revived.

There are a few other fixes, but players now face overpowered AIs, and the heart rate sensor also faces some bugs as well as some other perks like High Alert and Shost.
