When you discover a new YouTube channel, there are times when you want to discover more videos from the same creator. You might even want to watch all of his content in broadcast order, unless the cameraman in question has posted hundreds of videos since his debut. Only here YouTube does not make your job easier.
While it’s been possible for a long time to sort videos on a channel chronologically from oldest to oldest, YouTube removed this feature a while ago. The platform has also long claimed that this disappearance was due to a bug, to the great desperation of users, without showing any signs of wanting to reintegrate it into its app.
This sorting feature may soon make its way back to YouTube
If you’re an old follower of this sorting method, we have good news for you: YouTube may bring it back soon. Indeed, several Reddit users Older reappears on some channels, allowing direct viewing of the first videos posted by the creator.
This tab appears in version 18.23.35 of the Android and iOS app and does not appear to be deployed in the web version yet. Moreover, it seems that not all users have access to it and the tab is currently only displayed on certain selected channels. As such, it’s hard to say with certainty that YouTube does indeed plan to reintroduce this functionality to the general public.
