The Joker is known worldwide for his outrageous plans and his totally deadly pranks. However, apparently, his new Chinese version reveals and indicates what he should have been all along.
DC Comics revealed Alpaca, who is the Chinese version of the Joker, during the events of “Superman #8”. Basically, he is a villain who gives an incredible makeover to everything we know about the original version.
From a simple, playful and innocent person to a true cold-blooded killer. The truth is that, over the years, the Joker has changed and reinvented himself many times. And there are so many times that it is impossible to count.
However, even though the character’s details continue to vary, one thing we cannot deny is that his experience as a criminal remains. The most interesting thing about the villain is that he wins over fans for the simple fact that he is an artist when it comes to terrorizing the fictional city of Gotham and, of course, his greatest enemy, our beloved Batman.
A powerful new symbol
But what has been catching the attention of many fans is the newest international version of the villain, who has basically refined the tricks of the original version and risen as a powerful symbol.
In Gene Luen Yang and Billy Tan’s comic book, “New Super-Man #8”, the setting is set at the Bat Academy, which is basically the training center for the Justice League of China.
With that, at the moment when Wang Baixi is competing to keep the title of Batman, his partner, Wonder Woman, discovers that her ally’s match is being hampered by the character Alpaca. He is basically an enemy very similar to the Joker, and so he invaded the computers of the facilities.
Wonder Woman manages to imprison Alpaca and brings Wang Baixi so that they can both check the villain’s true identity. However, to the duo’s surprise, Alpaca is none other than Wang Jiali, Baixi’s sister.

When asked by Baixi about her motivations, Jiali said she turned against the ministry after discovering internet censorship in China.
With this, we can see that, unlike the original Joker, Jiali has had an ideal since her first attack. That’s why she has a cause that she believes she should fight for.
