[Atenção: esta matéria contém spoilers!]

It wasn’t long ago that Marvel Comics began producing a series of comics based on the hugely successful movie title, “Alien”. In 2021, the comics written by Philip Kennedy and with art by Salvador Larocca began to be published.

However, in order to continue such a popular franchise, the creative team needed to bring new ideas. This is how rumors arose within the comics about an alleged experiment involving the use of human and xenomorph DNA to create a hybrid being.

‘Alien’ #4

For any living being present within this universe, this is, without a doubt, the most absurd idea possible that someone could have. But for us, readers, this is a very interesting idea.

See what the behavior of beings as lethal as these would be like xenomorphs of “Alien” with an intelligence capable of organizing and commanding its hordes is indeed a success on the part of the comic’s production team. But, as mentioned, this was a rumor, and the characters in the comics gradually revealed more information.

In “Alien” #4, we see the team of synthetic supersoldiers known as Steel Team infiltrating the planet Tobler IV, which has a xenomorph infestation.

The government-led team’s goal is to place eggs of the species in the xenomorph queen’s lair, which supposedly have healing capabilities. However, the situation changes when the synthetic soldiers come across a group of humans who were there for the same reason, but ended up trapped.

That said, the humans are able to escape the lair, leaving the synthetic beings as bait and using their ship to escape. However, what most of that group did not know is that one of their members, Lee, had accidentally released an alien insect from a cell in the place, which attached itself to his body.

While trying to escape, Lee begins to feel ill and undergoes a slow transformation until he becomes the first xenomorphic human hybrid. The edition then ends with the grotesque image of the being that mixes the characteristics of the xenomorphic aliens with human physiognomy.
