The production of the documentary series ‘Senna’ is being carried out by Netflixwith scenes filmed both in Brazil and in international locations, such as Argentina, Uruguay and the United Kingdom.

However, an important name in Ayrton Senna’s life seems to have been left out during the production of the documentary: we are talking about Adriane Galisteu.

Adriane Galisteu was named as the love of Senna’s life, as detailed in the book ‘Uma estrela chamada Senna’, written by journalist Lemyr Martins.

Despite this, Galisteu herself recently stated that Netflix did not contact her to discuss her participation in the series.

Through its social mediashe expressed her surprise and concern, claiming to have no idea how her image will be represented in the production.

Netflix’s lack of contact with Galisteu raises questions about the series’ historical accuracy, especially when compared to other similar productions, such as ‘O Rei da TV’, which documents the life of Silvio Santos.

Galisteu argues that the series about Silvio Santos distorted her image, as at no point did she see portrayed in the plot who the presenter really was, since she lived and worked with him.

Given this controversy, we can only wait and see how the series ‘Senna’ will address the life and legacy of the Brazilian driver and how Galisteu’s absence could affect the historical representation of the relationship between the two.
