It all starts in “Injustice: Gods Among Us”, in which Joker uses a different toxin from Scarecrow on Superman, which ends up causing him to invade Metropolis and kill Lois Lane and her baby. This devastated Superman in an absurd way, which led him to change all his concepts.

First, he murders the Joker. Afterwards, he becomes a true dictator, ruling the Earth with an iron fist. Many heroes ended up supporting him, but Batman himself refused to do so. That’s when the clash between the two begins, and Batman needs to use some tactics to equalize the fight between him and the Man of Steel.

With a team led by Green Arrow, Batman obtains a pill found in the Fortress of Solitude that gives him Kryptonian powers.

Although Oliver Queen dies at the hands of Superman for his betrayal, Batman manages to replicate his plan. This is because Superman tries to stop the character from creating the pills, but it was merely a distraction.

This is because Alfred receives the analysis and the replica of the pill, ends up swallowing it and acquiring the powers. When the Man of Steel reaches the butler, he headbutts him, breaking Superman’s nose. Meanwhile, Alfred continues to punch the hero while repeating how disappointed he is in him.

And it doesn’t stop there, because Alfred later takes Bruce Wayne away from the Bat-Cave so he can recover. As he walks away, he tells his boss “There’s nothing worth saving here,” in a clear nod to the resentment he’s feeling toward Clark Kent.
