Last Monday (6), comic book artist Nic Klein announced on his social media that issue 31 of the Thor comics, in Marvel Comics, would be his last contribution to the saga. The announcement was made through a post on his official Twitter profile. Check out the announcement and the post below:
So… unfortunately Issue 31 of THOR was my last Thor issue for the foreseeable future. This has been an amazing time in my comic career, I got to play with some of my favorite Personalities and hopefully told some great stories along the way. Thank you everyone for joining the ride pic.twitter.com/CN58UrwmlH

Klein’s departure was confirmed a few months after his partner Donny Cates stepped down as a writer for Marvel Comics in late 2022. The departure of both creators marks the end of an era for Marvel Comics. Thor.
Issue 31 of “Thor”, the last one with art by Nic Klein, is now available in specialty stores in the United States (the issue does not yet have an official translation into Brazilian Portuguese.)
This issue features a variant cover featuring all of Thor’s different looks from the Marvel comics. The cover was created by artist Russell Dauterman.
Cates and Klein era of Thor comics
In January 2020, Marvel Comics announced the addition of Donny Cates and Nic Klein to the creative team responsible for Thor comics. Cates, as writer, and Klein, as artist, gave a new direction to the story of the god of thunder.
Together, they wove a new story arc for the Asgardian superhero in his time as king. This is because they wrote what happens in Asgard after he assumes the throne, with the challenges of maintaining peace for his people.
