The new two-minute trailer for Rings of Power’s second season is building tension rapidly. We’re in the middle of the upcoming siege of Eregion, a massive battle that will dominate the second half of the season. Orcs, dwarves, elves, and men are all preparing for battle.
But it’s not all swords and sorcery. The trailer gives us a glimpse into the political maneuvering that’s about to take place. Sauron dominates the discussions with his deceptive form as Annatar. We see him working his dark magic on the elven master blacksmith Celebrimbor. “So what did you do to me?Celebrimbor weeps and heralds the corruption to come.
Galadriel and Sauron will face each other
In the face of growing evil, unlikely alliances seem to be forming. In a surprising twist, we see Galadriel and the orc leader Adar standing side by side. It is clear that Old enemies may need to unite to face the rising darkness.
Fan-favorite creatures also make appearances. The dangerous Balrog, the monstrous Shelob and the majestic Ents all come to the screen, promising a deeper dive into the rich animal lore of Middle-earth.
