If you are one of those who are still struggling to survive the end of season 4, Stranger Things, know that some of them have already moved on. And there are many, according to the latest viewer ratings released by Netflix. Indeed, the top 10 of the most-watched series for the week of November 21-27 accept a new challenge to the work of the Duffer brothers: Wednesday.
As the name suggests, Wednesday is a reinterpretation of the adventures of the eponymous youngest of the Addams family, partly directed by Tim Burton. The series, which has been available since November 23, has been a huge hit. That’s why it was the most-watched series on Netflix last week, accumulating at least 341.23 million hours of views in just a few days.
Wednesday is watched more than Stranger Things
But that’s not all, because Wednesday also broke another long-established record: the Stranger Things record. Indeed, in its first week of airing, it recorded 335 million hours of views last season, slightly less than the newcomer. Season 6 of Elite and the new series 1899 from the creators of Dark make up the rest of the podium during a week spent in France.
Note that Stranger Things is no longer one of the most watched Netflix series of all time. This is owned by Squid Game, which can boast that it has amassed at least 1.65 billion hours of views worldwide since its launch. Stranger Things season 4 is still in second place, followed quite clearly by Casa de Papel. To see if Wednesday climbs into the top 10 or even higher.
