The Walt Disney Company Latin America has announced a significant change for streaming lovers: Star+ will be integrated into Disney+ already in the second quarter of 2024.
With this decision, the independent platform will cease to exist and will move all of its content to the main platform, Disney+, where it will be organized in a separate tab in the streaming service.
As of now, new prices and subscription options have not been revealed by the company.

This merger is nothing new in the United States, where the integration of Hulu with Disney+ is already underway.
Now, Latin America will also be covered by this strategy, representing a significant change for fans of streaming in the next year.
This measure reflects Disney’s determination to offer a unique experience, bringing together different platforms in a single location to facilitate access to content.
This integration is not surprising, as it follows the same line adopted by the company in the United States and Canada.
In Brazil, the content was launched separately on two platforms: one aimed at children and the other at adults. However, the idea of unification was already under consideration.
Currently, Star+ and Disney+ services can be subscribed to separately or together.
With the announced merger of the platforms, the list of available content will include the channels ESPNNational Geographic, 20th Century Studios, FX, in addition to live sporting event broadcasts.
Diversity of content
With this union, Disney+ will now offer content from Searchlight, 20th Century Studios, FX, Disney, Pixar, Marvel, ‘Star Wars‘ and National Geographic, plus all of ESPN’s sports programming.
This union of brands and content promises to provide users with a more complete and diverse entertainment experience, bringing together the best of film productions, series, documentaries and sporting events in one place.
