Indeed, while the final chapter in the “Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker” trilogy left some fans disappointed, it could still offer potentially broader insight into one of the Jedi secrets most significant in the “Star Wars” canon. And it’s worth noting that a line uttered by Rey suggests that she may have unlocked it.
It turns out that “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker” managed to detail all the events of the final defeat of Emperor Palpatine and the dawn of a new era for the Jedi. In the film, the last remnants of the Resistance are preparing for a final attack against the First Order after learning that the Emperor is not only alive but has a fleet of Star Destroyers under his command ready to launch at Exegol. However, the only problem in this matter is that the heroes do not know where to find him.
As a result, Rey and her friends embark on a quest to discover the Emperor’s location. Having made this choice, the Resistance then deals with the threat of the Star Destroyers while Rey and a rescued Kylo Ren take the Emperor’s place. Kylo Ren, however, is quickly taken out of the fight and the Emperor blasts Rey with a deadly wave of Dark Side lightning from his fingertips.
A posterioriRey blocks the attack with her lightsaber and, with a final push to throw the energy back at Palpatine, Rey screams: “I am all Jedi!” and proceeds to kill the Emperor with his own lightning. In light of this, in “Star Wars #20,” by Charles Soule and Marco Castiello, which takes place shortly before the events of “Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back,” Luke Skywalker is on a quest to learn all the secrets of the Jedi before he faces Darth Vader.
On this mission, Luke discovers the existence of a certain vergence force on a planet in the galaxy that is rich in the Force: the Living Sea of Gazian. Thus, as many know and as has already been said, Gazian is a planet that copies the consciousness of each Jedi who visits it and then stores these copies within itself.
Because of this, at a point before Rey proclaims herself the living representation of all Jedi in the story, she hears the voices of almost all of herself, at least everyone who has appeared in “Star Wars” up to that point. Looking at the situation logically, Rey has somehow managed to access the Living Sea of Gazian remotely and hear the encouraging voices of the copied Jedi consciousnesses that reside there.
So if this assumption is true, then Rey’s power goes far beyond being able to defeat Palpatine. Taking this premise into account, Rey, theoretically, by extension, could also access the deepest secrets of the entire Jedi Order.
