The director Zack Snyderresponsible for great superhero films, recently revealed what his favorite film of 2023 was. The not-so-surprising answer was given by him, during an interview at an event for the film ‘Rebel Moon’.
According to Snyder, his favorite movie of 2023 is ‘Oppenheimer’by Christopher Nolan. The work, which competed directly with ‘Barbie’ at the box office, was very much approved by the director.
This revelation by the filmmaker can also be seen as an exchange of pleasantries. After all, he has already been the target of recent praise from Nolan, who personally chose him to direct ‘Man of Steel’.
This, however, does not negate the qualities of ‘Oppenheimer’, which pleased viewers and has been nominated for the main film awards, with a great chance of being among the best of the Oscar 2024.

In the same interview, Snyder revealed a film he’s looking forward to seeing, which is Jonathan Glazer’s Holocaust drama ‘The Zone of Interest.’
For now, the filmmaker remains focused on preparations for the release of his new work, ‘Rebel Moon’. This work is one of the most anticipated of the year and will be released in the next few days. The synopsis already reveals a little of what to expect:
“A peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy finds itself under threat from the armies of the tyrant ruler Balisarius. They send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them resist the Tyrant.”
Two parts
‘Rebel Moon’ will be divided into two parts. The first, ‘Rebel Moon – The Child of Fire’ is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on December 22, after being released in limited release in theaters. Part 2, ‘Rebel Moon – The Scar Marker’ will only be released in April 2024.
The cast includes the following actors: Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou, Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Ed Skrein, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, Anthony Hopkins and Alfonso Herrera.
