His mind is divided into two parts: one for his day at the office, the other for his personal life. A situation that will be turned upside down by the arrival of Helly (Britt Lower), an employee who fits both personalities but has a hard time coping with this new experience.

In the last episode, Lumon employees managed to take on their external alter egos and discovered the life of their true selves. Helly realizes that she is the daughter of the company’s CEO and that he chose to do the dissociation as an experiment. She then reveals to the world the horrors the guinea pigs experienced. As for Mark, he realizes that his wife is not dead, but simply hidden by Lumon as Mrs. Casey.

Why is Severance season 2 coming so late?
With a release in early 2025, Season 2 of Severance arrives almost three years after the first. An abnormally long time for a series, even a big one. A delay explained by two factors. According to some American newspapers, first of all, there was high tension on the set. We are talking about frequent arguments between showrunner Dan Erickson and screenwriter Mark Friedman, who were not very good friends anyway during the production of the first season. Friedman, supported by Ben Stiller, eventually decided to leave the project and was replaced by Beau Willimon, who was already behind in the Andor series. These events slowed down the project.
This is all routine in productions of this size. What really delayed the series was Writers’ and actors’ strike in the summer of 2023. A historic event that brought all of Hollywood to a standstill for several months. Unfortunate enough, Severance was in the middle of shooting. It eventually continued and season 2 will be released well. Better late than never!
