The angry episode occurred while the celebrity was participating in the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and his fans asked how the ‘Gladiator 2’ script was progressing, which generated a very inelegant response from Russell Crowe.

“They should pay me for the amount of damn questions they ask me about a movie I’m not even in. It has nothing to do with me. In that world, I am dead. Three meters underground. But I admit I feel a little envious, because it reminds me of when I was younger and what my life was like for me,” Crowe responds.

Despite not being linked to the sequel, Russell Crowe does not fail to recognize the vision and talent of Ridley Scott, the director overseeing the project, responsible for other box office successes, such as the science fiction work ‘Prometheus’.

Apparently, the actor shows certain fears regarding this continuation of the plot that won him an Oscar. Furthermore, he states that, if the director decided to resurrect the work after a hiatus of more than 20 years, he must have good reasons for doing so.

According to the release date of ‘Gladiator 2‘ gets closer, the public eagerly awaits to find out what the story will be like, without General Maximus and his tireless quest for revenge against Emperor Commodus, played by Joaquim Phoenix at the time.

Thanks to Ridley Scott’s vision combined with his passion and competence plus the talent that Crowe dedicated to the first film, expectations are high about this cinematographic novelty. Now we just have to wait and see the result.
