After a failed attempt to adapt to the format of filmwhich did not please fans and almost led author Rick Riordan to give up on seeing Percy Jackson in other media besides his books, the new series ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ is generating great enthusiasm among fans of the franchise.
Especially after more details about the production were recently revealed, Disney+ announced that all episodes of the long-awaited first season, which will soon be available on the platform’s catalog streamingwere titled with the names of the chapters of the first book of the saga.
Below is a list of the eight episodes that will be released in pairs starting December 20:
- Episode 1: ‘I Accidentally Vaporize My Pre-Algebra Teacher’ (Chapter 1 of the book)
- Episode 2: ‘I Become Supreme Lord of the Bathroom’ (Chapter 6 of the book)
- Episode 3: ‘We Visit the Garden Gnome Emporium’ (Chapter 11 of the book)
- Episode 4: ‘I Plunge to My Death’ (Chapter 13 of the book)
- Episode 5: ‘A God Buys Us Cheeseburgers’ (Chapter 15 of the book)
- Episode 6: ‘We Take a Zebra to Vegas’ (Chapter 16 of the book)
- Episode 7: ‘We Find Out the Truth, Sort Of’ (Chapter 19 of the book)
- Episode 8: ‘The Prophecy Comes True’ (Chapter 22 of the book)
A series will adapt the first of five books written by Riordan, ‘Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief’.
In the plot, Percy, played by Walker Scobell, joins Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood, played by Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri, respectively.
Together, they seek to prove Percy’s innocence, accused of stealing lightning bolts from Zeus. To achieve their goal, the trio embarks on a journey across the United States, in search of locating the Greek god’s weapon and restoring order to Olympus.

It is important to remember that an exclusive part of the first episode of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ was shown during CCXP 2023. The screening took place on the Thunder Stage last Saturday (2).
