The final moments of “One Piece” are soon arriving for its readers, and, according to the author himself, Eiichiro Oda, the current arc should be the last of the story.
However, according to him, fans can expect many more chapters about the adventures of Luffy and the Straw Hat crew. After all, as the story moves towards the end, it is natural that things will start to unfold.
Although Oda always enjoys exploring the mysteries of his world and his characters, the moment is already calling for greater development about what surrounds some specific mysteries. And that is what happens in a recent chapter, in which a new clue seems to have solved a mystery.
With the conclusion of developments in Wano and the defeat of the Yonko, Kaido and Big Mom, the three captains who accomplished this feat will meet to decide the next steps, as well as discuss the location of the final Road Poneglyph, which is necessary to find the hidden island of Laugh Tale.
In a later chapter, Eustass Kid said that a “man marked by flames” knows about the Poneglyph and declined to comment on it. Additionally, Dr. Vegapunk mentioned that Ohara’s precious library was saved by an Elbaf tribulation made up of giants and that the captain was covered in bandages.
The manga briefly showed an illustration of Vegapunk’s later view of Elbaf in order to read and memorize the books of Ohara, a view more concentrated on the captain’s features, where it is possible to assimilate how Saul the Giant saved Robin earlier in the story.
In the recent chapter #1071, the mystery may have been solved since Eustass Kid reached Elbaf, and the character was the only one to mention the “man marked by flames”.
It may not be just a coincidence, but Kid is one of the three captains who is closest to finding the final Poneglyph. Although suspicions about this mysterious man are quite consistent, it is difficult to put an end to “One Piece”, since the series is full of twists and turns.
Another strong fan theory is that this mysterious character could be Scopper Gaban from the Roger Pirates. There are many suspicions surrounding this character who could provide the final piece for the pirates to reach the next island.
However, the suspicion that he is Saul matches past events, in which the Giant was frozen by the abilities of former Admiral Aokiji. Thus, when exposed to the flames, it is likely that he was left covered in scars and, eventually, may have worn bandages, as seen in Vegapunk’s flashback.
Things are starting to move faster in the world of “One Piece” And, although many chapters have been promised, it is likely that the action will soon return to the pages of the manga.
