O DC Universe The movie isn’t the only one getting a makeover. Apparently, with the increasing decline in quality of Marvel’s film productions, DC intends to go all out to dominate the superhero market.
Logically, there will not be a “super difference” between both publishers. After all, as in any market, companies have ups and downs.
However, what happens here is that DC Comics intends to give it a makeover, something that is very common in the publisher. After all, the subject of much talk and some complaints, one of the most remembered events in comics is the New 52, in which the publisher reformulated many of its classic heroes and villains.
All of this is fueled by “Flashpoint,” one of The Flash’s best stories. In it, we see a present on the brink of the apocalypse, as Barry Allen begins to recover his memories from another life.
DC Comics and its changes
Flash travels to the past to save his mother, changing the entire future only to realize his mistake and fix everything again. However, this change drastically altered the history of many heroes and other characters.
Despite being well received, DC decided to go back on this change, however without erasing the existence of the New 52.
With that, we had the DC Rebirth phase, or Rebirth. It occurred to mark the end of the New 52 era, with the intervention of Dr. Manhattan. The event was not a reboot like the New 52, but a reset which kept the events in existence, but returned to the characters’ origins to their pre-52 version.
Although it is still a bit confusing, with so many changes happening at DC Comics over the years, as seen by the New 52 and Rebirth, the modification in the publisher’s staff led to a new process of change, “DC Comics: Future State”.
This new phase aims to reformulate the stories and stop messing with so many universes, so that it will deal with all of them individually, even if they have common points. Basically, like what already happens with the live-actionswith a multiverse in theaters and another on television, on CW.
Although Flash is not at the center of this change as he has been in recent years, a piece of news involving the character has excited Brazilians. This is because the new comic about the hero that will be published from September will have art by the Brazilian. Mike Deodato Jr.
In addition, along with the announcement of the new creative team, also composed of screenwriter Simon Spurrier, there was the release of the synopsis of the new phase of Flash at DC Comics, see:
“Wally West has never been so fast, so accomplished, so heroic. His loving family surrounds him. And yet, something feels wrong. Very off. The growing understanding of his powers has opened Wally to new paths and attuned his senses to strange ideas.
Something whispers in the dark vibrations beyond the Speed Force, and as Wally experiments with creative new approaches to his powers, he encounters new realms, mysterious allies, and mind-bending terrors.”
