As everyone already knows, the fourth season of “Stranger Things” has ended. However, there are rumors that the villain of the series will receive his own spin-off series. According to information from the news channel Screen Rant, the Dr. Martin Brennerwho is also known as “Daddy,” will be the subject of a Dark Horse comic book series.
This new series will detail Brenner’s life from the beginning and will be told in detail from the moment he imprisons all the special children in the facility from which Eleven escaped. These new comics will be named after the facility, that is, “Stranger Things: The Many Ghosts of Dr. Brenner”.
The series will begin in 1968, when Dr. Martin Brenner becomes a disgraced scientist and, as a result, ends up returning to his abandoned laboratory where he and his colleagues collected research from their secret projects for the government.
The secret research that was abandoned, but that’s not the only thing that haunts the scientist, as he notices that a ghostly face is watching him. We don’t know yet who this face belongs to, but it could be from one of his early works similar to those of Vecna and Eleven.
Everyone knows that Dr. Brenner was a very important character in the first and fourth seasons of the series “Stranger Things”, but in this series we don’t get to know much about his story, other than that he created the facility to house children with telekinetic powers.
The hope is that this comic series will help us get to know this doctor better and learn more about his history, where he came from and whether he knows more about the Upside Down that was revealed in the series “Stranger Things”.
Many think that the fifth season of “Stranger Things” should wrap up the entire main story, but as massive as the show has become, it is expected that there will be many more connections between the characters and more spin-offs to happen.
The Duffer Brothers created this series and made it quite special; based on the popularity of the franchise, they could tell more stories beyond the main one. Dr. Brenner is just one of the many popular characters that fans of the series would definitely love to see and get to know better.
Another character we’re sure fans would love to see more of is Eddie Munson, as much as the character’s arrival and leadership qualities were written and summarized very well.
Another character we wouldn’t mind seeing more of is Dmitri, as we’d like to know more about his history in Russia and how he knew how to escape from Hopper. Even Crazy Yuri is someone Stranger Things fans would certainly like to know more about.
The writers and creators of the series “Stranger Things”, the Duffer brothers, have certainly created a world full of possibilities, even more so when it comes to deep and captivating stories, and this opens up a wide range of possibilities for countless new stories with the characters of this incredible series.
Finally, the “Stranger Things: The Many Ghosts of Dr. Brenner” comic book series will run for four issues and will hit shelves on January 11, 2023. Despite this, we are still unsure whether there will be any heavy implications from the comic book series that will affect “Stranger Things” season 5.
