As you know, Netflix has ended account sharing in France as of May 24, 2023. According to the blog post by the platform, a Netflix account can now only be used by one household.
To ensure that your family members and/or close friends continue to benefit from the Netflix catalog, You will have to pay an additional fee of up to €5.99 per user.
In the last few days, you and your friends have probably received at least one of the following notifications from you: Verify your device with a one-time code. The problem is that this code is sent to the account owner’s email address… The icing on the cake, remains valid for 15 minutesno more.
In other words, the situation can quickly turn into a nightmare for the account holder, who will find themselves overwhelmed with one-time codes (and cornered by relatives who insist on getting valuable verification).
Share your email address password
However, instead of canceling your subscription or paying for additional access, our colleagues at BGR There is another solution for you. Be careful though, it presents some risks. The idea is simple: Share your email address password.
Sounds like a very bad idea at first glance, we accept it. However, when you do this, people with access to your account will be able to: control their devices immediately without disturbing you and without worrying about missing the 15 minute window.
However, as mentioned above, sharing the password of your e-mail address poses a risk to your security and privacy. The easiest way to avoid this is Create a new email address dedicated exclusively to your Netflix account.

Now go to Netflix to replace your old email address with the new one created for the event. The steps to follow are:
- Sign in to your Netflix account at: a computer
- click your main profile
- Then drag the cursor to the tab Bill
- Click now change email address
- Netflix will send you a one-time security code to verify your identity
- Enter the six-character code on the next screen
- Enter your old e-mail address and the new one in the corresponding windows
- Press To protect to verify the process

For this reason, Your Netflix account is now linked to your new custom “Netflix” email address. You are free to share the password of Gmail and Netflix accounts with any user you wish.
A workaround that is far from perfect
As BGR points out, this method only works with a group of people you trust. Thanks to this cheat, the account holder will no longer have to send verification codes to their family and friends every time they log in. But watch out this workaround is not foolproof and it doesn’t get rid of the platform monitoring.
In the future, a safe bet Netflix will strengthen the controls of various devices who have access to your account. Sooner or later the platform will notice that too many devices have been linked to your profile.
