In a recent discourse with IGN, James Gunn, in his quest promoting “Creature Commandos,” elucidated the extent of continuity between the forthcoming second season of “Peacemaker” and its predecessor. A conundrum arises due to the presence of Justice League characters in the first season finale of “Peacemaker,” but Gunn seems undeterred by this dilemma.
“The truth is almost all of ‘Peacemaker’ is canonical save for the Justice League, which we will address in the upcoming season,” Gunn clarified.

Gunn also stated that anything referenced in “Creature Commandos” or subsequent releases is officially recognized as part of the canon.
