Everyone knows that each Robin has a special specialty. Among them, Damian Wayne – also known as Bruce Wayne’s son – is considered the most dangerous of them all. Now, think about that combined with the boy having one of Superman’s most threatening powers.
Did you think so? Well, that’s exactly what happened in the pages of “Lazarus Planet Omega”, issue 1, written by Mark Waid, with illustrations by Riccardo Federici and Mike Perkins.
Damian Wayne ended up acquiring Superman’s heat vision. Known as one of Superman’s most devastating powers, in the hands of this Robin it could be devastating.
This happened because, due to Lazarus’ storms, the metahumans’ powers are getting mixed up. In other words, this is causing unusual destruction on Earth, as well as widespread confusion. So, given the situation, Damian was facing King Fire Bull and fired lasers from his eyes.
The boy was immediately frightened by what had happened, but decided that he would live very well with the ability. After all, it is an insane power for him to be able to hunt his victims, isn’t it?
But besides Damian Wayne himself, Superman has gone through this. Now the Man of Steel has the telepathy of the Martian Manhunter and Barry Allen has super strength. In other words, it has become a general mess and a mix of powers among the heroes.
How does this confusion of powers end?
Despite all the trouble the characters find themselves in, it ends in the same issue. Alice Black will concentrate all the messed up abilities in her body and this ends up resulting in a giant explosion.
To top it all off, the demon Nezha is also the one who manages to fix this mess, ending Lazarus’ storms after channeling all his powers into his opponent. This saves the humans and returns each power to its true owner.
