Max announces exclusive documentaries about Romário and Luva de Pedreiro

In the entertainment scene, a phase begins with the arrival of Maxthe latest streaming platform that has just replaced HBO Max in some countries, including Brazil.

With the promise of an extensive catalog and quality content, the new platform arrived in Brazil at the end of last month (27/2) and brought with it, in addition to controversiesa range of exclusive documentaries and critically acclaimed series.

The announcement of Max’s arrival in Brazil was accompanied by details about the service’s new prices, suggesting a commitment to an accessible experience for Brazilian subscribers eager for quality content.

The new comedy Sam Mendes and Armando Iannucci’s ‘The Franchise’ takes viewers on a hilarious and engaging journey.

However, it is the exclusive documentaries that really shine in Max’s programming. Among them, the films about Luva de Pedreiro and Romário, two iconic figures on the Brazilian sports scene, stand out.

‘Romário – O Cara’ offers an intimate view of the life and career of the world champion of soccerwhile ‘Bricklayer’s Glove – A Story Never Told’ narrates the incredible journey of the young Brazilian who became a global internet phenomenon.

Luva de Pedreiro, whose real name is Iran Ferreira, was born in Quijingue, a small village in the interior of Bahia. From a young age, he worked with his parents in the fields to help support the family.

His love for football led him to share his moves on social media, turning him into an internet sensation.

Romário, also called ‘Baixinho’, is recognized worldwide as one of the country’s greatest scorers.
