MARVEL: Punisher gains new abilities in the latest issue of the ‘Punisher’ series

Comics number 10 in the “Punisher” series, from North American publisher Marvel Comics, have been in circulation since 2022 in the United States, but were only recently made available to the Brazilian public. With the novelty, readers are discovering new abilities provided to the characters, as is the case with Punisher.

New superpowers were incorporated into this character and now he can transform anyone into a faceless “inhuman” being. Additionally, in the new comics, the Punisher can also become a beast. Find out more below!

New direction for the Punisher’s story

The comics produced by Jason Aaron, Jesús Saiz and Paul Azaceta gave new abilities and a new direction to the story of Frank Castle, the Punisher. In them, the character, through the Hand, will command several impossible missions around the world to assassinate rich people.

Furthermore, the abilities attributed to the character were also provided by the Hand, a criminal organization of which he becomes leader in the comics. This only happened because the character wanted to resurrect Maria, his deceased wife, and to do so, he started a war against Daredevil and Elektra Natchios, who wanted to stop him.

Punisher’s New Superpowers

The character now has two more superpowers, the first of which is super strength. This ability is so powerful that it allows him to fly in the comics.

The second ability attributed to the Punisher allows him to transform his enemies into “inhuman” beings. This ability is explained by the Archpriest of the Hand. According to him, the character’s new power is an evolution of the “Eye of the Beast”, an ability that allowed him to see the sins of other people.

Now, the Punisher sees his enemies the same way as the “Eye of the Beast sees them“. Therefore, he sees them as indistinguishable sinners, “as things of the flesh, indistinguishable from one another except with regard to the most important of man’s characteristics: his sins”.
