In 2022, comic book icon Stan Lee, if he were alive, would be celebrating his 100th birthday. In celebration of the writer’s 100th birthday, we have put together a list of the 6 best Marvel comic books.
Lee was born in New York on December 28, 1922. There is no doubt that he became known due to his comics, which were part of the lives of many young people.
Even adult fans continue to follow the part of the Marvel Universe to which Stan Lee contributed so much.
In a nostalgic mood, we decided to bring this list to you so that we can keep you alive in our memory through your stories.
Let’s go?
1. ‘Daredevil: The Fall of Murdock’
Our first comic is “Daredevil: The Fall of Murdock”. In it, we can follow an action planned to cause the hero’s downfall and finally discover who is behind the mask and the plan was almost successful.
Here, our hero finds himself in critical condition. Certainly, at a decisive moment. Stan Lee was one of the co-writers of the plot along with Frank Miller, and both had David Mazzucchelli as an illustrator.
2. ‘Kree-Skrull War’
In “Kree Skrull War”, there is a moment of conflict in which several species are fighting each other. In this middle, humanity finds itself, and we know that when the Earth is in danger, all the heroes, including the Avengers, do their best to prevent something harmful from happening.
3. ‘Marvels’
In third place, we have “Marvels”, which tells the story of a photographer and journalist who easily manages to show some of the heroes’ fights from a different angle.
This way, we can understand how a “normal” human being would react to everything that happens.
4. ‘The Night Gwen Stacy Died’
Now, to make things even better, we have a Spider-Man comic created by Gil Kane, written by Gerry Conway and, finally, with art by John Romita.
In this work, it will be possible to closely follow the events that take place between Spider-Man and Green Goblin.
The hatred between them is clear, but Spider-Man only goes after him after discovering that his beloved was killed.
5. ‘Fantastic Four’ by John Byrne
John Byrne is responsible for bringing the narrative to life, which he modified in some points, such as the relationship between the Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic.
Additionally, She-Hulk was also included in the script, which contributed to Byrne’s story being known as a more modern version.
6. ‘Spider-Man No More!’
Finally, in “Spider-Man No More!”, we see our hero deciding his priorities and leaving the uniform aside for a while in order to help Aunt May, who at that time was going through health difficulties.
However, his decision ends up leaving the door open for many villains to evolve and leave everyone terrified!
