In 2023, the most watched Brazilian film in cinemas was ‘Our dream‘. It stars actors Juan Paiva and Lucas Penteado, who bring to life the story of the funk duo Claudinho & Buchecha.
The film hit the big screen in Brazil in September and, after generating huge expectations among fans of the duo, who were hugely successful in the 90s, it also reached the top of the ranking of highest grossing films of the year, in national cinema.
In total, there were more than 430 thousand spectators.

The script for ‘ Nosso Sonho ‘ goes back to the story of the young Claudinho and Buchecha, owners of hits such as ‘ Rap do Salgueiro ‘, ‘ Só Love ‘ and ‘ Fico Assim Sem Você ‘.
The film is narrated from the perspective of Claucirlei Jovêncio de Souza, who is nothing more than the original name of Buchecha. He and his partner were childhood friends and met again, after a while, when they decided to form an MC duo.
The success was immediate and the partnership yielded good results. The only regret is that everything happened so quickly. On July 13, 2002, Claudinho died in a car accident at 26 years old.
The tragic event marked the end of the duo and a story full of joy, until then.
