Heroes and villains are highlighted in upcoming DC productions; see what they are

A A.D is full of big projects to expand your cinematic universe. With the collaboration of James Gunn and Peter Safran, the intention is to unify all projects and create a shared universe with Justice League heroes and villains.

The coming years promise to be full of news and great productions, such as ‘Superman: Legacy’, ‘Batman: The Brave and the Bold’ and ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’.

With extensive experience in the world of superheroes, james gunn chose to start this universe from scratch. Therefore, ‘The Batman’, starring Robert Pattinson, and ‘Joker’, with Joaquin Phoenix, will exist in a parallel reality to the new characters. Gunn and Safran have dubbed this universe ‘DC Elseworld’.

In addition to the feature films, the director of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ saga will also follow the same Marvel formula when exploring his stories in the world of series.

The first production announced in the new format, the series, will be that of the famous hero Green Lantern. The series will tell the story of the already known heroes, Hal Jordan and John Stewart.

Additionally, Viola Davis reprises her character from ‘The Suicide Squad‘ (2021) in the series ‘Waller’, while the character Golden Gladiator will be introduced to DC fans in a program with a more comedic approach.

‘Creature Command’ (2024)

The upcoming DC series will follow the Frankenstein monster as he teams up with a werewolf, a vampire and a gorgon to fight the Nazis during World War II (1939-1945).

However, Gunn’s version promises to be a unique adaptation, with the inclusion of Weasel (Sean Gunn) in the team.

‘Superman: Legacy’ (July 11, 2025)

The next Superman film will explore the life of the character played by David Corenswet when he was a young reporter in the fictional city of Metropolis.

O public will see him interacting with important characters such as colleague Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan), Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) and Supergirl (Milly Alcock).

‘The Authority’ (no preview)

The story will follow a group of superhumans with a more pragmatic view on how to save the world.

They believe that the ends justify the means, in contrast to the idealized view that Superman has demonstrated in comics and film over the years.

This group will be introduced in the next Man of Steel (Superman) film.

‘The Brave and the Bold’ (no preview)

The plot revolves around the hero Batman and his loyal companion, Robin. The film will be based on the classic written by Grant Morrison. At history original, we met Batman’s son, who he himself never knew he had.

To make everything even more complicated, the teenager is a real killer created by bad and unscrupulous people. The story is already one of the most anticipated DC debuts by the public.

‘Golden Gladiator’ (no preview)

The DC superhero series will bring Gunn’s signature humor to the ‘Justice League’ universe. Golden Gladiator is one of the favorite comics of avid readers and fans of the genre.

The story will follow Mike Carter in the 25th century, going through one of his worst phases. The former football star decides to use a time machine found on display at the Metropolis Space Museum.

‘Lanterns’ (no preview)

The series will focus on two of the most famous from the Green Lantern Corps: Hal Jordan and John Stewart.

They will be tasked with investigating a very important mystery for DC’s new cinematic universe.

‘Swamp Thing (unforeseen)

The superhero film will break the mold by turning into a horror. The story will explore the origins of one of DC’s darkest characters.

Despite the different style, the Monster must interact with the heroes in a normal way, just as Gunn handled the relationships between Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper).

‘Paradise Lost’ (no preview)

The plot unfolds on the island of Themyscira before the birth of Diana, also known as Wonder Woman. Gunn chose to introduce questions to substantiate the premise of series:

“How did this happen? What is the origin of an island made up of women only? What are the beautiful truths and ugly truths behind all of this? And what are the intrigues like between the different power players in this society?”

‘Peacemaker’ – 2nd season (no preview)

In the spin-off series from ‘The Suicide Squad’, John Cena returns as Christopher Smith, an antihero determined to achieve peace, no matter how many lives he needs to take.

In relation :  IPL 2022: “Not so long anymore”- Virat Kohli is looking forward to the upcoming IPL season.

However, throughout the plot, the character finds himself forced to join a government task force to save the world.

‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’ (no preview)

According to Gunn, the film will explore the contrasts in the origins of Superman, who was sent to Earth and raised by kind parents from childhood, and Supergirl, who was raised on a fragment of Krypton and witnessed the death or murder of everyone around her in the first 14 years of your life.

‘Waller’ (no preview)

Viola Davis reprises her role as Amanda Waller in a series led by the same team behind ‘Peacemaker’.

The new original production of A.D will be produced by Christal Henry and Jeremy Carver. Regarding the series, Gunn told the international press:

“It’s simply the best series ever.”
