‘Game of Thrones’ will have a spin-off series about Aegon Targaryen

News from The Hollywood Reporter will excite fans of ‘Game of Thrones‘. After much speculation and leaked information that HBO would be developing a spin-off series about the conquest of Aegon Targaryen, confirmation finally came to light.

Production has already entered the creation phase. The idea is that it shows how Aegon and his sister-wives, Visenya and Rhaenys Targaryen, conquered the Seven Kingdoms and reached the Iron Throne.

It is worth remembering that the support of the army and the famous dragons was essential for this. Upon reaching the Throne, as king of Westeros, Aegon founded the Targaryen Dynasty, already shown in ‘House of the Dragon (2022), the first series derived from ‘Game of Thrones’.

Production details

According to the publication of The Hollywood Reporter, the production will be scripted by Mattson Tomlin, the same man who works in the sequel to ‘The Batman’ and who has also done: ‘Power’ (2020), ‘Mãe x Androides’ (2021) and ‘ The Beast of the Sea’ (2022).

‘Game of Thrones’ was one of the great successes of North American television drama in recent years and became a real sensation around the world.

The work premiered in 2011 and had eight seasons, with a story full of disputes, fights and wars for the throne of Westerosafter the fall of the Targaryens.

But in the meantime, after thousands of years of sleep, a deadly enemy reappeared in the world, capable of destroying everything and everyone.

The series will be a step back in time, just as it was ‘House of the Dragon’, which returned 150 years in history to report the Dance of Dragons, a war fought between the brothers Aegon II Targaryen and Rhaenyra Targaryen. They entered into a dispute to decide who would be the true heir to the throne.
