To get the summer off to a good start, Disney+ has some great surprises for us throughout July. After already a high-quality party in June, the platform this time features the classic The Lion King in live action and French sizes like 120 beats per minute.

New movies on Disney+ and Star in June 2022
Lion King
In 2019, a live-action version of The Lion King was released, directed by Jon Favreau. The movie stays the same except we are treated to breathtaking computer graphics that bring the setting Disney dreamed up for a ’90s cult movie to life.
120 beats per minute
As the AIDS epidemic escalates, Act-Up is stepping up shock actions in Paris to alert authorities and the public to the seriousness of the situation. Carried by the eerie performances of Adèle Haenel and Nahuel Pérez Biscayart, the film is a must-see.
Dice
Caught in an act of deception by a paparazzi, Mr. Levasseur uses François Pignon (again) to allay his wife’s suspicions. Vale later finds himself living a life he doesn’t know.
New series coming to Disney+ and Star in June 2022

This documentary miniseries is a must-have for fans of punk and rock in general. The pistol goes back to the origins of the movement that shook Britain and then the rest of the world in the 70s to forever change the face of music and society.

With its 10 seasons, American Horrory comes fully to Disney+, something that will delight all fans of the series and horror in general. Each season takes place in a different place and time, so it’s hard not to get bored.
