“Jujutsu Kaisen” is a Japanese manga, written and illustrated by Gege Akutami, which was turned into an anime in 2020.
For those unfamiliar, the story follows a teenager named Yuji Itadori who becomes involved in a secret society of wizards called Jujutsu Kaisenfighting curses and demons in order to protect humans from the supernatural world.
Recently in the anime, there was the return of the most powerful sorcerer in the world, Gojo Satoru. However, on social media, the creator of the story apologized for a mistake made in episode 221.

On his Twitter account, Gege Akutami, known as Jさん(֊’ ‘֊) (@/soukatsu_), wrote the following:
“Itadori’s right ear returning is my mistake, but Gojo returning is not a mistake.”
However, Akutami’s apology may have backfired, as many people hadn’t even noticed the scene’s continuity error.
Also on Twitter, a fan commented:
“[…] I didn’t even notice that my man lost an ear.” Another joked: “Aw man, I thought he was using the reverse curse technique without knowing.”
In this sense, the main character’s ear injury happened in chapter 214, more specifically in Yuji’s fight against Sukuna, who had taken over Megumi.
In this way, the attack carried out by Sukuna cut the top of Yuji’s ear, leaving behind a lot of blood. As much as some fans are mocking the situation on the internet, others have already paid attention to the second part of the sentence, pointing out that Akutami has more sinister plans for the sorcerer that will be revealed later.
Finally, if you are one of those who are waiting for the second season of the anime adaptation to arrive, know that it will only premiere on July 6th this year.
