Covid arrives in MARVEL comics

Although the Marvel have resisted adding the pandemic to the comics Covid-19 for two years, now this theme has finally arrived. However, it is presented in an even more frightening way than how we know it in real records.

Generally, the various events that occur in real life do not always end up appearing in the world of comics, this is because there is a big difference between the time scale of the two worlds.

Furthermore, we can also remember the fact that in the comics there are aliens, robots and billionaire geniuses who, with a snap of their fingers, could bring everything back to normal.

However, in “Mech Strike: Monster Hunters #3” we will finally be able to contemplate the effects of a kind of pandemic and discover, of course, which villain is behind all of this.

The production “Avengers Mech Strike”, created in 2021, became a craze among fans. And one of the elements that most attracted the public’s attention was the group of heroes’ new and enormous mechanized armors. Designed by none other than Iron Man, the new armors have the ability to survive attacks launched by Kang the Conqueror.

The events are so intense that even Thanos has arrived to lend a hand to the Avengers, in addition to receiving a new suit.

Fans of the comics enjoyed the result so much that, during the continuation of the narrative, the Avengers continued to use the new technological suits designed by Tony Stark. However, this time with something special: all the suits were already infected with the power that came from the Eye of the Kraken.

During the events of “Avengers Mech Strike: Monster Hunters #3”, a production developed by Christos Gage together with art by Paco Diaz, we can see the Avengers fighting against Loki who ended up, somehow, awakening all the power present in the Eye of the Kraken, in New York City.

Given all this, it didn’t take long for the heroes to discover that the villains who were taking advantage of the released power were sent by Loki. In Los Angeles, Venom is transforming many civilians into monsters and, according to Captain America’s analysis, a simple touch is enough to transmit the power.

This whole situation is, in a way, as close to reality as Marvel can get, because throughout its history it has never reported real events so that the central focus on the heroes would not be lost throughout the narratives. But, although it may not actually be the Covid-19 virus, there are major points that are in line with reality.
