1. ‘Home Alone’ (1990)
It’s impossible to talk about Christmas movies without mentioning ‘Home Alone.’ The classic Christmas movie became the highest-grossing comedy of all time in the 1990s.
The story takes place in Chicago and portrays a family going on vacation. The family accidentally forgets to take Kevin, an 8-year-old boy, with them.
Played by Macaulay Culkin, the young man finds himself alone at home and has to protect it from attacks by two thieves during Christmas.

2. ‘The Grinch’ (2000)
At this time of year, it’s impossible to forget the classic ‘The Grinch’. The film, adapted from Dr. Seuss’ book ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’, hit the screens in 2000.

Another timeless production, ‘The Polar Express’, hit theaters in December 2004 and quickly established itself as one of the main films of the season.
In the film, we follow Josh Hutcherson, a young man who has lost all his Christmas spirit. However, on Christmas Eve, he embarks on a trip to the North Pole, which can make your love for the festive season rekindled.

4. ‘Santa Buddies’ (2009)
At the North Pole, Santa Claus (played by George Wendt) and his chief dog, Santa Paws (played by Tom Bosley), are facing concerns about toy production.
This is because the Christmas Spirit, the main source of energy from the magic factory, is in decline.
The situation escalates when Puppy Paws, Santa Paws’ rebellious pup, runs away from home and claims he doesn’t care about Christmas, resulting in an alarming power outage at Santa’s factory.
When everyone forgets the true meaning of Christmas, talking puppies Budderball, B-Dawg, Rosebud, Buddha and Mudbud need to remind them that that meaning doesn’t come wrapped in wrapping paper.

5. ‘Operation Present’ (2011)
Santa Claus usually delivers presents to all children in the world, but this Christmas, there is a risk that someone will be left without a gift.
Therefore, Arthur, Santa’s son, has an urgent mission: to deliver a present to a little girl as quickly as possible.

6. ‘The Christmas Chronicles’ (2018)

Surprise! Meet ‘Christmas Rhythm’ (2023)
As promised, here is a new release to complete our list. Even without snow or large pine trees, the Christmas spirit is also present in Brazil.
‘Christmas Rhythm’ is a comedy which is a reinterpretation of the classic Romeo and Juliet. The film was released on streaming on November 30th of this year and will be shown on TV Globo on December 18th.
In the plot, the rising funk singer, Mileny (Clara Moneke), becomes romantically involved with the violinist Dante (Isacque Lopes).
They face a significant challenge during their first Christmas together, as their families come from very different backgrounds.
