In an exciting milestone for Brazilian pop culture, a talented cosplay Nacional won the cover of the iconic American comic book Action Comics, created by Jerry Jiménez.
Edition 1,060 of DC Comicslaunching in December in the USA, will feature a cover inspired by Brazilian cosplay, in an achievement motivated by the generous actions of lawyer Leonardo Muylaert, who spreads joy among children through volunteer actions.
Jorge Jimenez had the opportunity to speak with Leonardo to discuss his work. During these conversations, the illustrator expressed how the Brazilian’s actions inspired him to create the cover for the next Action Comics comic.
The illustrator felt inspired to create the cover after talking to Leonardo, motivated by the Brazilian’s visit to a school in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais.
Leonardo’s action reminded Jorge of the comics from season 11 of “Smallville”, highlighting the superhero’s power to inspire children and bring hope to adults, as rescued by Leonardo.
“I never imagined that my actions could have such an impact and it is gratifying to realize that I have managed to live up to the legacy of the eternal Superman Christopher Reeve”, said Leonardo, remembering that, this year, the actor Christopher Reeve, who played and became famous as the man of steel , would be 71 years old.
