‘AXE: Judgment Day #5’: Thor Has the Cruelest Death Ever

It seems that something completely unusual happened within the comics, especially in “AXE: Judgment Day #5”. Of all the deaths faced by Thor over time, this was certainly the worst of them all. This is because, when delivering a fatal blow with Mjolnir against the Celestial Progenitor, he was the one who ended up being brutally killed.

The Marvel Comics production shows that the god of Thunder is among those heroes who were tasked with taking one last action against the god of space power, thus decreeing the final judgment on Earth. However, things do not end up going as expected and Thor joins the list of Avengers who were killed in battle.

Therefore, Judgment Day is approaching at an overwhelming speed in the Marvel Universe; this is because, after the great attack on the X-Men, there was a kind of awakening of the Avengers’ Celestial base, and the Progenitor began to seek judgment for everyone on Earth.

The great Celestial being considered and judged some of Earth’s most well-known heroes, since he saw no dignity in Captain America. But, before everything came crashing down and the world was completely destroyed by the Celestial, Thor appeared, believing that he could somehow prevent everything that was planned.

However, it is at this moment that the cruelest death of all he has ever faced occurs. He suffered his darkest death while trying to fight the Progenitor with the help of his hammer, Mjolnir.

“AXE: Judgment Day #5” was produced and developed by Kieron Gillen, Valerio Schiti, Marte Gracia and Clayton Cowles of VC from Marvel Comics. In the story, you can see Earth’s mightiest heroes giving it their all against the Celestial being. They then decide to focus on just one place, which they believe to be the Progenitor’s weak point.

At this point, the attack is joined by Marvel’s heaviest hitters, as the Eternals have granted permission for the X-Men to take full control of their being so that they can finally give the god his deserved end.

But when the time finally comes for Thor to do his best and put an end to all this with his hammer, the Celestial performs a brief analysis and confirms that, although Thor may be considered and seen as someone worthy, the world is not, so the god of thunder is not worthy. All this happens at the same time that the Celestial brutally kills him, thus causing one of the darkest deaths he has ever participated in.
