Even with so many mentions, the director and the main actress were not nominated for any category. The absence of both was certainly a big surprise even for the cast.

‘Barbie’ cast shows dissatisfaction

In a press release, actor Ryan Gosling expressed his disappointment at the absence of Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie among the nominees for the Oscar.

Gosling, competing in the Best Supporting Actor category, emphasized the importance of the two in the creation of the film ‘Barbie’, considering them to be truly responsible for this historic, worldwide success.
