After the fitness exercises, Team India players got together for a busy international season. The first T20I of the series will be played in Delhi and the remaining matches will be played in Cuttack, Vizag, Rajkot and Bengaluru respectively. After the fifth match on 19 June, Team India will travel to Ireland and England.

If India wins the match, they will break a sensational record of most T20I wins (12). They are currently on par with Afghanistan and Romania. They started their streak by beating Afghanistan by 66 runs in the T20 World Cup and after the World Cup, Team India played dominant cricket under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.

But on the approaching five T20Is against Proteas, Rohit Sharma is resting, so is Virat Kohli, Jaspreet Bumrahand Mohammed Shami. KL Rahul will lead the team and Rishabh Pant will be the vice captain. Ravindra Jadeja and Suryakumar Yadav will miss the series due to injuries sustained in IPL.

Showing sensational performances in the IPL, Ümran Malik is selected to participate in international matches. Arshdeep Singh is also the new face to receive calls for his maiden drama.
