“Very disappointing performance from my team. We weren’t up to the mark on the bat. We had a poor top six win, but Shadab and Shan formed a partnership but unfortunately Shadab came out and then put pressure on back-to-back goals and hit,” Babar Azam said in his post-match presentation.

“We didn’t use the new ball well in the first six. Then we finished well. We’ll sit together, learn from our mistakes and come back stronger in the next game,” he said.

Zimbabwe scored 130/8 with Pakistan failing to score. Other than Shan Masood’s 44 runs from 38 balls, the other hitters were unable to use their sticks. Raza was Zimbabwe’s star bowler with three notable slaps.
