Sussex’s right-handed bataman and captain Cheteshwar Pujara set a good tone against Warwickshire in Friday’s Group A match in Edgbaston, Birmingham, at the Royal London One-Day Cup.

Warwickshire gave them 311 runs to chase. Robert Yates‘ 114 running hits. Pujara came out to strike when Sussex’s score read 112/2 in the 22nd minute. He smashed seven fours and two sixes, scoring 107 points out of just 79 balls.

In 45th place, Liam Norwell even scored 22 runs while bowling. Meanwhile, Pujara hit 4,2,4,2,6,4 to score 22 points.

In 48th place, Pujara then brought his tone before choking cleanly in 49th off Hannon-Dalby. Alistair Orr also took 81 hits. Pujara’s shot was futile, however, when Warwickshire won the game by four runs. Sussex are currently 6th in Group A with four points from four games.
