“Never delete it” – Twitter reacts as Virat Kohli beats Ricky Ponting’s record by hitting 72nd century

Virat Kohli He finally finished his three-year draft by smashing a ton in ODIs. Before competing to his 72nd pitch in international cricket, he passed Ricky Ponting’s 71 tons, taking time to get ready.

Kohli is right behind the legendary Sachin Tendulkar who has signed 100 international centuries. Following this hit, the Delhi-based hitter also completed 1000 ODI runs in Bangladesh, becoming the second player to score those runs in Bangladesh after Shane Watson.

The 34-year-old also has more than 1,000 runs outside the home against three different countries (Australia, England and now Bangladesh). Despite Kohli’s tone, the limelight is stolen by the teen Ishan Kisan. Kohli took a 290 lap stop for the second wicket with Kishan.

The 24-year-old script made history by smashing the fastest dual tone, surpassing the great Chris Gayle. He competed in his double century by throwing just 126 balls, becoming the fourth Indian to hit the target (other Indians were Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag).

The Ranchi-based has 210 rounds and is ranked fifth in the ODI cricket top scorers table with Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman. At the top of the list is Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who completed 264 laps.

Meanwhile, Kohli notched the 44th ODI tone before being fired at 113 (from 91 balls). His inning included 11 fours and two sixes as he played at a 124.18 batting rate. While India lost the forts following Kishan’s dismissal, Shakib Al Hasan also got rid of Kohli when his ball hit the Indian talisman from a large long distance by jumping off the track. But in the end he hit it with the bottom of the stick and the ball fell into the hands of Mehidy Hasan.

Speaking of the match, other than these two hitters Kishan and Kohli, the others didn’t play any high-scoring hits. Washington Sundar had a quick 37 points playing 27 balls, while Axar Patel had 20 laps from 17 balls. Despite regularly dropping wickets after set kickers were kicked out of the game, India totaled 409/8 in their 50 overs allotted.
