Ireland chose to appear first after winning the toss. Finn Allen and Devon Conway got Kiwis off to a jump start with their 52-time partnership for the opening stand. Mark Adair He broke Allen by sacking him.

In the sixth inning, Adair threw a fuller ball, which Allen tried to send the mid-kick, but instead landed straight into Flonn Hand’s hands. Allen left after a quick 32-round hit with 18 balls in five quads and sixes at 177.78 batting speed.

The next hitter was Conway, who came off the field when Gareth Delany served a googly that Conway tried to sweep but had to drag the wide delivery. Finally, with the bottom half of his stick, he slammed into Adair’s hands. Conway scored 28 points with 33 balls in two quads.

Glenn Phillips was fired on the cheap when Delany threw a delivery where Phillips tried to crack the extra cover but couldn’t get the desired connection. The ball flew towards George Dockrell in the sweeper cap. Phillips was able to add just 17 runs from nine balls in six and two quads.
