“Jaan laga do ab!” – Pakistani fans overjoyed as the Netherlands upset South Africa to keep Men in Green’s hopes alive

The Netherlands is not leaving the tournament without causing great upset. While South Africa was playing the last match of the Super 12s hoping to easily make it to the semi-finals, then the Netherlands produced an excellent cricketer to knock out Proteas from the T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday. Meanwhile, India will still stay on top if they beat Zimbabwe in their last match. They will face England in the second semi-final at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday. If India loses its match against Zimbabwe, they will face New Zealand in the first semi-final to be held in Sydney on Wednesday.

Coming into the match, Holland took the first hit, scoring 158/4 out of 20 after Colin Ackermann’s undefeated 41-shot over 26 balls. Tim Cooper also scored 35 points from 19 balls, while Stephan Myburgh added 37 points out of 30 balls.

South Africa continued to lose wicket at regular intervals. Big names like Quinton de Kock, David Millerand Rilee Russouw staggered against the Dutch bowling attack. What a shame for Proteas, they eventually fell short by 13 runs.
