More and more users are using a connected clock to wake up. The device’s wrist vibrations are a gentler way to wake up than your smartphone’s treble alarm. But the Pixel Watch, which has been marketed by Google for several months, would run into a big problem: the alarm sometimes tended to sound later than the specified time.
9To5Google reports that many cases are already listed and the error occurs randomly. While the alarm may work well one day and not work the next, the delay time usually ranges from one to ten minutes, which is enough to stress us out in the morning when we are in a hurry. Rarely would the alarm go off before the scheduled wake up time.
Alarm delayed time
The media cite the possibility that the concern stems from the fact that the Pixel Watch has been in sleep mode or inactive for a period of time for which the alarm should go off. In this case, it may not work properly to vibrate at the exact time selected by the user and this will cause a delay. It seems that the problem is not related to a specific software update.
It’s a shame that such a basic feature as the alarm clock fails, especially in smartwatches. This is the first model that Google has released under the Pixel series, and the product is still immature. For example, a few days ago, Google reported that a fall detection function is now available on the Pixel Watch.
Also note that the Pixel Watch doesn’t offer an advanced wake function like Fitbit’s Smart Wake option, which lets you avoid being woken up during deep sleep to wake up in better shape. By analyzing sleep cycles, it manages to determine the best time to wake the user, starting 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Google can take core.
