After leaving OnePlus, Carl Pei hasn’t been idle to enjoy life. A new project immediately followed: Nothing. This new venture will distribute high-tech products. There will be a pair of headphones called the first one. Nothing Ear 1. They will be fully formalized on July 27, 2021. Meanwhile, nothing like OnePlus is fond of a well-organized teasing campaign.
As proof, a week before the conference, the brand reveals a few technical details about the case alongside its design. You can explore the latter with the images accompanying this article. Many items are transparent to see the headphones through the shell. Perhaps this is what the Nothing brand stands for: Transparency in products. Note that the headphones will also be partially transparent.

On the technical sheet side, nothing indicates the capacity of the integrated battery: it is a model. 570mAh. box compatible wireless charging, in addition to wired charging, thanks to the USB type-C port visible on the edges of the photos. The box is fast charging compatible. Absorbs enough energy to deliver in 10 minutes. 6 to 8 hours of battery life to headphones (depending on noise reduction enabled).
Charged up to 100%, the box offers: 24 and 34 hours autonomy (always depending on active noise reduction). You can see that active noise reduction reduces the battery life of the headset by about 25%. It is important. This noise reduction is provided by 3 microphones integrated into each earbud, with information announced two weeks ago. Nothing promises a premium experience at a low price. Remember that headphones have to be sold only 99 euros. Or for the same price as the Enco Free2 from Oppo, for example.
