Watch D, Huawei’s first watch with EKG and blood pressure monitor
Huawei Watch D is positioned as a semi-medical product. The firm has integrated not just the usual oximeter (to measure the amount of oxygen in the blood) and heart rate monitor (to calculate the number of beats per minute), also a thermometera blood pressure monitor and one electrocardiogram (also called EKG). The sensors then analyze the pressure produced by the vibrations of the vessels. Pressure differentials are used to measure tension. The process is similar to the device you find at your GP. This technology is very convenient. But it also has an aesthetic downside: the bracelet is integrated into the watch and cannot be changed. Biometrics doesn’t rhyme with style.
Huawei Watch D: IP68 certification, 7-day battery life, aluminum case
Watch D’s case is now aluminum and the back mineral glass. The watch is of course waterproof (certificate IP68). It weighs almost 41 grams. It comes in two colors: black and white.
